SUTD Deputy Manager Charged Over 180 Fraudulent Facility Bookings

A 41-year-old man who worked as a deputy manager at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) was charged in court on 23 September with cheating and forgery. Prosecutors allege he used his position to make more than 180 unauthorised bookings of SUTD's football facilities over roughly three years.
More than $130,000 in lost revenue
The unauthorised bookings are said to have cost SUTD more than $130,000 in lost facility revenue. He is also believed to have deleted booking records from the university's system in an attempt to cover his tracks.
How it came to light
Police received a report about the alleged violations on 3 July 2025 and investigated before filing the charges. The case is among the more unusual cheating and forgery prosecutions to reach Singapore's courts this year.
